Much of the difficulty in our society revolves around a qualitative loss of communication - either within the body-mind and/or externally in society and with the Living world.

Therefore although online workshops are convenient and allow participation from all corners of the world, they also miss some aspects of human connection, and I strongly prefer physical events over online ones.

Dissociative fields as intelligent adaptations

A health-oriented model
Most trauma-oriented material (and "trauma-aware" practice) is based on the idea of trauma-as-pathology. A re-frame of dissociation and overwhelm as normal healthy adaptive states (for which the body has evolved a normal path to reverse) creates a very different model of "trauma" that is more in line with the core principles of CST.

What you will learn
This workshop emphasises practical skills. We will cover a relatively small amount of theory - including the manifestation of dissociation as consciousness de-coup[led from the physical body, and a re-framed Window of Tolerance used as an experiential map for BOTH practitioner and client. Some basic dialoguing tools [1], [2] aimed at anchoring well-resourced states will also be integrated into the practical sessions.
